Tax-Aide will offer a variety of tax preparation assistance options – from in-person, to low-contact, to no contact service models, as well as self-preparation. Availability will be based on a number of variables, including COVID-19 spread, volunteer training/availability and taxpayer location.
The Tax-Aide site locator is available for the public to learn about the type of tax prep service that will be offered in a particular area. Decisions on whether a TA site offers an all-virtual, light contact or in-person approach will be based on safety and health data from Johns Hopkins about presence of virus in a particular area. The site locator will be regularly updated and short notice changes are possible given the nature of COVID-19.
Please note: This offer does not include Jackson-Hewitt offices within Walmart locations.
Seniors can call any of the local Jackson-Hewitt offices and let them know they were referred by Senior Services of Central Illinois to receive tax preparation services for Federal returns at a discounted rate of $50, and an additional $25 for State returns.
