What is Veteran Directed Care?

Veteran Directed Care is a more flexible option than traditional in-home services.  VDC allows you to select and manage your own caregivers including the option to hire a family member or friend to assist you with daily living activities.  The program is funded by the VA and is provided at no cost to you!

Assistance To Help You Remain At Home

Illiana-Danvile VA Medical Center has teamed up with AgeLinc to bring the Veteran Directed Care (VDC) program to our service area.  

There is no income or age requirement.

How Do I Enroll?

• Ask your primary Care Provider at the VA to put in a consult to VDC.
• Shortly thereafter, you will receive a call from one of our Veteran Specialists who will walk you through the process.
