PrideLinc’s purpose is to provide equitable services, support, social connection and education to LGBT+ older adults in order to help them maintain dignity, health and independent living.

PrideLincTM Trademark is owned by Area Agency on Aging for Lincolnland (AgeLinc).

PrideLincTM Meal Program

PrideLincTM is proud to announce a weekly congregate meal program open to LGBT seniors and allies!  

Lunches will be served 11:30 am every Thursday at AgeLinc and will include time for education and socialization.  

Meals are provided by Senior Services of Central Illinois.  

To find out more information or to reserve your lunch, contact us at 217.787.9234.  Applications must be received by the Tuesday prior to each Thursday and reservations are required.

This training offers:

  • Education on cultural humility, statistics and how to identify abuse.
  • Resources on how to report abuse and support victims afterwards.

LGBT Support

Providing welcoming and inclusive services to all, regardless of sexual orientation, relationship status and gender identity.

When surveyed, 9 out of 10 LGBT+ people feared discrimination in care settings if providers knew their sexual orientation or gender identity.    

AgeLinc received the 2023 Platinum credential from SAGECare (a division of SAGE (Services & Advocacy for GLBT Elders – the nation’s oldest and largest nonprofit organization dedicated to improving the lives of LGBT+ older adults) which means:

80% of employed staff completed:

  • 1 Hour of LGBT+ Aging Training
    (in-person, live-webinar or digitally) 
    and
  • 80% of Exec./Administrators completed
    4 Hours of LGBT+ Aging Training
    (in-person or on-demand with live coaching)
