Lunch & Learn for Caregivers – Long Term Care Ombudsman Program (Flyer)

Kate will be speaking about ICARE and the Long Term Care Ombudsman Program.
Illinois has a Long-Term Care Ombudsman Program (LTCOP) that helps residents of Assisted Living and Nursing Facilities resolve complaints.

Long-Term Care Ombudsman duties:

• Advocate for better quality of life and care

• Help seniors and adults with disabilities self-advocate

• Educate consumers and providers about residents’ rights and good care practices Promote community involvement through volunteer opportunities

• Provide information to the public on nursing homes, long-term care facilities and services, residents’ rights, and policy and legislative issues

Lunch & Learn Programs are FREE, monthly, one hour sessions offered to current, future, and past caregivers. These programs are presented in person by professionals on the 3rd Wednesday of each month. Lunch will be provided, registration is required.
